A free demo for the latest instalment of the FIFA franchise launches today for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Many football fans have high expectations for FIFA 17 as the game moves to EA’s Frostbite engine promising improved game play on the field. FIFA 17 also introduces a new way to play the campaign called The Journey. So what will be playable as part of this FIFA 17 demo?
Players will be able to play a small part of the new story mode in the demo called The Journey. Many football fans will love the sound of this but if you’re a fan of a rival club then you may be slightly disappointed to hear you will only be able to choose Manchester United in this game mode. Either way it is an exciting opportunity to find out what this game mode is all about and if it will make a significant impact on how the game plays in comparison to previous versions of FIFA.
With regards to other game modes, there will also be the usual Kick Off mode including 4 single player Skill Games and three new multiplayer Skill Games. Since this is only a demo is it not surprising to see limited content but there is still plenty for you and your friends to get your teeth sunk into. See below for a full list of teams that will be available in this demo:
Tigres U.A.N.L. (MX)
As a Liverpool fan [prepares for the onslaught] then I am disappointed not see my team included in this line up but there is still a strong selection of teams to choose from which will no doubt show off the game in the best light. Of course, the demo should not be considered 100% representative of the final game so take the experience with a pinch of salt!
If you haven’t already downloaded the demo then make sure you try it out ahead of FIFA 17’s release date on 29th September 2016. If you still need some convincing then check out my first impressions. How can you not be excited?!
See you on the pitch!
